This package is estimated to contain the following:
- 1 x 50kW Inverter
- 24 x 5.1kW Batteries
Projected Cost: R1.0 – 1.5 million
Overview:
- Our focus is to reduce the expenses and inconvenience caused during power outages.
- The price of diesel has increased 79% since 2013, with more price hikes planned for this year.
- Our aim is to design, build, install and maintain a suitable battery back-up system that has the capacity to run essential equipment during power outages. This will effectively remove the use and maintenance of generators.
Challenges:
- Most Roots butcheries are not allowed to install solar panels on the roof.
- Suitable systems need to be designed per butchery to meet their unique demands.
- These systems comprise one or more inverters combined with different battery packs that will provide back-up electricity during power outages.
- Designing a list of packages to choose from is therefore challenging.
- We need to bring the initial cost factor into the equation. The solution must be (a) feasible; (b) ensure a cost saving; (c) ensure a Return on Investment (ROI).
How do we do this?
- We have made up four general packages based on the size of the generators currently in use. The cost of these packages is an indication of what to expect.
- The next step is for Titan Electrical (PTY) Ltd to come to your premises to do a thorough Needs Assessment.
- Based on this assessment, we will design a suitable solution. This solution will save you money and will be much more affordable than your high running costs of your generators.
What is a Needs Assessment?
- During the Needs Assessment, we do a thorough inspection and analysis of your peak loads, essential loads and energy usage.
- Our data logger is connected to your electricity feed. It will record information over a few days.
- With all this information, we are able to design the most optimal system to cater for your specific needs.
- Our quotations will give you a thorough breakdown of your monthly and annual savings. This breakdown is required by the bank for financing options.
Both cash and financing options are available.
